Exclusively Malaysian

'Chilli crab is Malaysian. Hainanese chicken rice is Malaysian. We have to lay claim to our food,' she lamented.

In the three months, we will identify certain key dishes (to declare as Malaysian).

We have identified laksa ... all types of laksa, nasi lemak and bak kut teh ...

And this brilliant idea is coming from our learned Mister of Tourism, Ng Yen Yen.

Pure genius! Way to go! Bravo!

DON'T YOU CLOWNS IN THE GOVERNMENT HAVE ANYTHING REALLY BETTER TO DO???

BIKIN PANAS!

  5. Hey, I don't mind laying claim to what is ours! Before every other country except Malaysia claims nasi lemak, bak kut teh, roti canai, satay, etc.etc. are theirs, we better lay claim to these first! : )

  7. You know, just mention about it a little in the books, magazines, Tv shows, many times until tourists and locals are brainwashed into thinking they are in fact Malaysian food! Well, that's how Singaporean did it, I heard. Chilli crabs and Hainanese chicken rice are theirs? My foot!! Yet, tourists all believed it! : )

  8. Foong - LOL! I think it really the wrong thing to even concentrate on la ... It's only food and there are so many more important things we can lay claim too.
